Cub Scout Summer Explosion Camp
2010 Première Outdoor Sports Program
June 4-6, 2010
Summer Explosion- Cub Scout and family is invited to attend Camp La-No-Che late spring and early summer adventure different than all other Cub Scout Camps!
Summer Explosion Information:
NEW: Arrive on Friday afternoon starting at 4pm to participate in Friday Fun Night and Campfire! Saturday Outdoor Sports Program will be emphasized with a different experience for Cubs and their families. Sunday will be different with opening ceremony; chapel and then outdoor sports program will be provided to all interested until 4pm. More information will be provided in February 2010.
Camp/Day Visitors: Camp (Weekend or 1 night) or Visit for day! You are invited to bring your own tent and camping gear. However, camp does have limited Boy Scout Wall Platform tents with 2 cots in each tent to use if you do not have a tent (please mark camp tent during registration process). Cub Scouts from same Pack will be camping together. Also, you may choose to visit the Cub Summer Explosion as a day visitor. The fee per person is the same whether you camp or attend as a day visitor.
Meals: Purchase from Camp Food Service or cook on own in campsite for Cub Scouts and their families. If you purchase meals from camp, you may choose All 5 meals; 4 meals or just the meals you need to eat in Dining Hall. Meals provided are Friday evening Sandwich/Pizza; Saturday Breakfast; Saturday Lunch; Saturday Dinner and Sunday Breakfast. We now also provide a Friday night meal option to purchase which is a Hamburger; Hot Dog or Piece of Pizza; Bag of Chips and Soda Drink. All the meals are provided in the W.T. Bland Dining Hall.
Summer Explosion Outdoor Sports Program
Friday - Check in and set up campsite. Then come to the W.T. Bland Dining Hall to enjoy a camp movie and eat some snacks that you can purchase from the camp concession stand. Also, you can choose to sit around the campsite campfire ring; take a night hike on the Cat Eye Trail or play some sports (Basketball, Volleyball or Boulder Wall) under the lights in the central Downtown Camp area. Friday opening Campfire program will be provided.
Saturday - Enjoy a Campfire Program at the Council Ring hosted by the Camp Akela. Lots of fun with songs, skits, stunts and more surprises.
Saturday & Sunday Program - Your Cub and family will have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoor sports program. To Be Announced in February 2010!
Cub Summer Explosion Camp Registration Information: Register as individual families or your Den/Pack Leader may decide to register your group.
